The position of lifeguard requires that you enforce rules and safety regulations at a swimming pool and maintain a clean swimming pool environment. Below, you will find the Work & Travel job offer for 2012:
Wage:
- $8.00/Hour: 1st Year Lifeguard
- $8.25/Hour: 2nd Year Lifeguard
- $9.00/Hour: Swimming Pool Manager ( $8.00 / Hour plus $1.00 bonus based on work performance; paid after the season ends). Average hours per week : 50+
Hours:
- Average of 45-50 hours per week. This means that the TOTAL number of hours you work throughout the summer will average 45 to 50 hours per week
Overtime:
- $12/hour will be paid for any hours you work over 40 hours in one week
- Overtime IS guaranteed
Housing:
- $105/Week
- $150 Security Deposit ($100 Refundable)
Training :
- 175$ if you pass Lifeguard Training abroad before arriving in the USA ( training will be organized by Premier Aquatics in selected countries)
- $250 If you pass Lifeguard Training in the USA.
- $95 CPR Re-Certification For second timers only.
- $75 Pool Operator License
Uniform:
- FREE if you pass Lifeguard Training Course and begin work on 5.27.11 and work through and on 9.4.12
- $75 If you do not work from 5.27.12 through and on 9.4.12
