The position of lifeguard requires that you enforce rules and safety regulations at a swimming pool and maintain a clean swimming pool environment. Below, you will find the Work & Travel job offer for 2010:

Wage:

•  $8.50/Hour: 1st Year Lifeguard  ($8.00 / Hour plus $0.50 bonus based on work performance; paid after the season ends)
•  $9.00/Hour: 2nd Year Lifeguard ( $8.75 / Hour plus $0.25 bonus based on work performance; paid after the season ends)

Hours:

• Average of 40 hours per week. This means that the TOTAL number of hours you work throughout the summer will average 40 hours per week.

Overtime:

• $12/hour will be paid for any hours you work over 40 hours in one week.

Housing:

• $100/WeekSecurity Deposit:
• $150 ($100 Refundable)

Training :

• 100$ if you pass Lifeguard Training abroad before arriving in the USA ( training will be organized by Premier Aquatics in selected countries)
• $200 If you pass Lifeguard Training in the USA.
• Lifeguard Training Course fee will include Pool Operator License which is a mandatory.

Uniform:

• FREE if you pass Lifeguard Training Course and begin work on 5.29.10 and work through and on 9.6.10
• $50 If you do not work from 5.29.10 through and on 9.6.10.
